Nichol Fitzpatrick, Legal Paraprofessional with Code 4 Legal

She grew up in a law enforcement family, worked as a police dispatcher and completed her undergraduate degree in areas focused with law enforcement administration. Since 2011, her concentration has been in family law litigation and enjoys working with first responder families. At the time she became licensed in 2021, Nichol was with Stewart Law Group; she later founded Code 4 Legal, fueled by attorney referrals. Nichol currently serves on the Family Law Board of the Maricopa County Bar Association and the Superior Court's Family Department Case Center Community Workgroup.

Notably, Travis achieved success in the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division 1, in the case Antonetti v. Westerhausen, 248 Ariz. 222, 459 P.3d 651 (App. 2020). In this significant decision, Travis represented his client in a complex family law matter involving a UCCJEA (Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act) issue, where the court had to determine the appropriate jurisdiction for a child custody dispute across multiple states. Travis’ skillful legal argumentation and understanding of the UCCJEA allowed him to successfully navigate the jurisdictional challenges, securing a favorable ruling for his client and setting an important precedent for future cases involving interstate custody issues.
In addition to his legal practice, Travis is an active member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, where he serves on the Family Law Section Board of Directors. He is also a committee member of the Family Law Policies, Practices, and Procedures Committee with the Arizona State Bar, where he contributes to shaping and improving family law practices and procedures across the state. Travis is also a frequent presenter at complex family law CLEs (Continuing Legal Education programs), where he shares his expertise and insights on advanced family law topics, further demonstrating his leadership and commitment to educating other legal professionals.
Outside of his legal career, Travis has a passion for football, having served as a high school football official for several years. He is also happily married and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children.

1) MCBA cancels or postpones the CLE or
2) At least two business days prior to the program, MCBA receives your cancellation, in writing, via email at (cle@maricopabar.org). Please note a $25.00 administrative fee applies.
