2024 Barristers Ball

The 2024 Barristers Ball Beneficiary is Friends of the Court.

Their mission is to provide Treatment Courts with essential resources to help participants regain their footing.

Friends of the Court, established over two decades ago, focuses on providing the vital but unfunded elements of the Treatment Courts program, especially in the areas of Rewards and Incentives. These courts, including Veterans' Courts, Drug Courts, and Homeless Courts, aim to help participants work toward achieving long-term employment, remaining drug and alcohol free, and engaging in treatment. However, despite their crucial role, these courts are chronically underfunded. They often lack basic necessities such as food coupons, bus passes, housing vouchers, personal IDs, diapers, and even toys for children-items that can make a significant difference in a participant's journey to success.
