This Course offers 1 hour of Ethics Credit
Many lawyers and law firm staff are (still) working remotely but what ethics considerations go into telecommuting and what client demands must lawyers follow? These and the following topics will be discussed:
Can you use Zoom and other web services to speak with clients while working from home?
What do you need to do before giving staff remote access to the firm database?
Is it permissible to seek a continuance of a civil hearing because you don’t want to go to court during a pandemic?
What practical tips are there for assuring that everyone still abides by their duty of confidentiality while working remotely?
It’s not too late to learn! Attend remotely and receive CLE materials as well as a template for staff confidentiality protocols.
