Do you have a new boo you want to make a great impression on? Or perhaps your anniversary’s coming up soon, and you want to make this year extra special (to make up for forgetting last year??) You’re in luck. The valley’s got a plethora of incredible dining spots to make your special occasion even more special. Here’s a brief list of dining options that have delicious food and intimate atmospheres.

Cibo Pizzeria
Located in a restored bungalow that was built in 1913, this downtown eatery boasts one of the best patios in the central Phoenix area. Pronounced “CHEE-boh,” the atmosphere is heightened by the building’s hardwood floors, exposed brick and a fireplace. Their menu boasts artisanal pizzas (the Procida is a favorite), antipasto and housemade fresh pasta. This historic spot can be found at 603 N. 5th Avenue in downtown Phoenix.

Quiessence
This pastoral spot, hidden among pecan groves and vegetable gardens at the foot of South Mountain, showcases chef Greg LaPrad’s local fare, which changes nightly and is an outstanding example of farm-to-table dining. Their signature Brick Oven experience is a private dinner with an eight-course menu, and the ingredients used come straight from the garden. Quiessence provides a contemporary spin on traditional dishes. You can find this hidden gem at 6106 S. 32nd St. in Phoenix.

Vintage 95
If you’re in the East Valley, share an intimate evening with wine and bruschetta in this cozy wine lounge, which is the creation of Gavin Jacobs. Located in what was once the original Chandler post office, Vintage 95 is a chic, upscale bistro that offers contemporary American fare, a big wine list & a patio with a fire pit. Tie this with a night at the theatre at nearby Hale Centre and you’re sure to score some points with your special someone. Find them at 95 W. Boston St. in Chandler.

Different Pointe of View
A distinct destination for 31 years, the view alone is swoon-worthy. On top of the elegant interior and extensive wine list, the floor-to-ceiling windows will put you and your lover at the top of the world for this unforgettable dining experience. The luxurious cuisine includes truffled pork loin, grilled hanger steak with blue cheese risotto and poached lobster with pancetta-wrapped prawns. Find them at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, located at 11111 N. Seventh St. in Phoenix.
