The Maricopa County Bar Association has been in existence for over 100 years, and is the largest voluntary bar association in Arizona. Since 1964, our lawyer referral service program has been in place to provide the citizens of Maricopa County with a valuable legal resource and to provide practicing attorneys a means of building their professional practice.

Regardless of your area of practice, the lawyer referral service is a valuable resource for connecting you to clients who need your services. Phoenix is one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country, and that growth is not expected to slow down in the near future. Attorneys are needed in all areas of law, but the MCBA has a special demand for lawyers who specialize in employment, administrative and immigration law.

If you are a practicing attorney, you know that the majority of clients are referred from someone else within your professional network. The MCBA lawyer referral service connects you with the thousands of citizens seeking legal help in the greater Phoenix area.

How the Service Works

Once a call is received, a staff interviewer screens the call and discerns the nature of the legal complaint that the caller has. From there, the staff member determines which area of law applies and discovers the caller’s location in the Valley. If the caller schedules a 30-minute consultation with you, he or she pays an administrative fee of $40. The caller then meets with you for the consultation free of charge, and if you proceed from there, your regular fee for services applies.
