Many people come across the problem of needing a lawyer, but they don’t know where to find the best one for their case. The Lawyer Referral System was established to help clients find attorneys that work best for their specific needs. Started by the Maricopa County Bar Association with many years of experience, the board works to help you find the lawyer you are looking for. There are over 250 attorneys in the network that hope to find the perfect person to tailor to your needs.

Below is how the Maricopa County Lawyer Referral System works in four simple steps.

Step 1: The Maricopa County Lawyer Referral System will find you an attorney

First, you must fill out an online request form or call (602) 257-4434 to speak with someone from the referral system staff. They will ask you questions and work with you to find you an attorney that will best fit your situation.

Step 2: Pay a one-time meeting fee

Once you are matched with an attorney, you will pay a one-time, non refundable administrative fee of $40. This fee is for a 30-minute meeting with the attorney you’ve been referred to. Every attorney is licensed and insured with years of experience.

Step 3: Set up a meeting with your Arizona attorney

After paying the fee most attorneys try to schedule to meet with you within 48 hours. You will get to speak to them personally about your case for 30 minutes and can be done in person or over the phone. It is not always guaranteed that they will take your case.

Step 4: Decide if you would like to continue to work with your referred attorney

As your 30 minute meeting comes to an end the attorney will let you know your paid time is almost up. At this time, you can choose whether you want to continue to with your assigned attorney. You are not required to hire him or her after the meeting.
