MCBA CLE
Request for Proposal

The Maricopa County Bar Association Continueing Legal Education Committee invites you to share your knowledge and expertise.

Throughout the year, the MCBA CLE Committee meets to develop and plan for future CLE programs. The goal is to identify timely topics for MCBA CLE in person and online attendees while simultaneously designing the programs and seminars to meet the requirements of the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education ("MCLE") in Arizona, including credits required for ethics.

We are extending this invitation to present a program  during the 2020 calendar year.

We also have opportunities for speakers to write an article  for the Maricopa Lawyer.

If you are unsure about presenting a program we have opportunities that allow you to pre-record your program at your office and present it online.

Please submit your proposal to Laurie Williams at lwilliams@maricopabar.org  by Friday September 27, 2019 so that the committee has enough time to evaluate all proposals. We will advise selected presenters and prepare announcements to the membership of next year's agenda as soon as possible.

Should you have any questions about our continuing education programming, please feel free to contact Laurie Williams at lwilliams@maricopabar.org or
602-257-4200 Ext. 104

Thank you  for your  participation.

  1. Programs must last for at least 1 hour (exclusive of introductions) to qualify the program for MCLE credit under Rule 45. This is designed to entitle participants to a credit for each luncheon program attended.
  2. Seminar speakers will be required to develop and provide written materials for the program – another prerequisite if the program is to be qualified for MCLE credit. See Regulation 104(A)(2).
  3. Under the MCLE system in Arizona, seminar speakers will also receive credit toward their MCLE responsibility, calculated in accordance with Regulation 104(B)(2). For instance, a speaker at a 1-hour luncheon may earn 6 MCLE credits. See Regulation 104(B)(3)(a)(i).
  4. Suggested programs do not have to be breakfast or luncheon programs. The CLE Committee will review all suitable ideas and topics.
