Real Estate Law Section
The Real Estate Law Section is the newest addition to the MCBA family. Formed in 2007, the section intends to serve as a forum for interaction between attorneys and non-attorneys alike, all of whom are active in the real estate community and share the common goal of improving the real estate industry.
To this end, the Section’s principal goals are to monitor, report on, and help shape market, judicial, legislative, and other developments that affect the practice of real estate law, and to educate and inform section members with respect to such developments, as well as to share industry “best practices.”
In addition to providing an effective forum for the exchange of ideas and information, common and unique to real estate law and related transactions, the section intends to facilitate and improve the relationship and communication. But not only within the real estate bar, but also between the real estate bar and the real estate community, as well as between the real estate bar and the legislature. Ultimately, the section’s goal is to improve the quality of legal representation, especially as it relates to real estate law and real estate transactions.
The section intends to keep its members informed through practical and efficient programs throughout the year as well as special columns in the Maricopa Lawyer. The section has a growing list of members, and will have a full calendar of planned activities for 2010.
The section values diversity as well as the experiences, knowledge and talents of all individuals within our community. Whether you’re employed at a large or small firm, a solo practitioner, or a government employee, if you are an attorney with an interest in real estate, you can only benefit from joining the Real Estate Law Section of the MCBA!
